Can It Be Done?

Can this frumpy old coffee table be turned into a sleek and sexy desk? Yes, it can!

This project was different from my usual restoration job. I found this coffee table in a thrift store for cheap. I wasn’t attracted to the looks of it but I did notice that it was made of solid walnut so I snatched it up. Once I had it home the disassembly began and I started planning how I would turn it into a desk. I was limited to using just the wood from the coffee table so that put some constraints on the design. It wasn't going to be a big desk but it would at least be good looking and useful for occasional use.
